My journey started after a life changing event – Anthony Robbins live. At that point I learnt that everything starts within. I realised that I need to improve myself in order to go forward. The biggest change I wanted was energy, which thanks to Stu Mittleman (and his book ‘Slow Burn’) got me running. I was never obese, but that does not mean that I did not have excess fat or lack of energy. Running has provided me with tremendous amounts of energy and the time it takes to run is less than half of the extra time gained by eliminating fatigue.
Whilst working on my running I started looking into nutrition, especially alkalising and whole foods. As I implemented these changes in my life, I was able to inspire others around me to do the same and it brings me great joy seeing them benefit and share their experiences with more people. In the spring of 2013 I was introduced to the 90-day Body By Vi Challenge. Promoting healthy and nutritious shakes and getting people to improve their eating and fitness habits is very much in line with what I have started just a few months earlier. The Challenge is not just about the product, it is about getting people to make that first step to make a change in their life.
In the year since I started making changes, I have managed to lose 20lbs, take 3 inches off my waist and hit perfect BMI. I now have a clear vision for my life and want to empower others to find their goals. Because as the Cheshire Cat told Alice when asked which path she should take, it makes no difference which one she takes if she does not know where she wants to go.
